Meet Chonkers – Adopted
This handsome 55 lb., 2 year old hunk is ready for someone to fall in love and take him home. Found in a neighborhood park on the SF Peninsula, he spent a few weeks at the shelter until NorCal Bulldog Rescue had space to take him into their care. He had no collar or microchip when found. He had already been neutered.
His foster mom describes him as “almost perfect” and foster dad says “he is a great dog”. Chonkers is puppy like in his zest for life. He gets along with the other rescue buddies, is very affectionate, loves his routine and has quickly adapted to his new surroundings. He learned to use the dog door in just 10 minutes. He is very food motivated. He appears to have had basic potty training and rarely barks. He was surprisingly cooperative with his first bath and it is apparent this boy was loved by someone in his past. His only medical issues were ear infections and a raw area of irritated skin under his neck likely from water accumulation which has healed with topical treatment.
He would do best in a home with a yard and would love someone who can spend a lot of time with him. He loves people! He has not been tested with cats. Due to his puppy exuberance would do best with kids 7 and older.
