This sweet, goofy guy was found as a stray in a bustling Bay Area city and had a tough time adjusting to shelter life. Despite the stress, Hokey passed his behavior evaluation with flying colors—and once he landed in his foster home, it was clear he was full of love, energy, and potential. He’s already come a long way with basic training and is eager to keep learning with a patient, consistent owner by his side.

  Hokey mastered the dog door in one day, is mostly house-trained, and sleeps peacefully through the night. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and already knows how to sit and give kisses!

  At 57 lbs of pure excitement, Hokey didn’t realize his size could be a bit… overwhelming. But with just a few days of training, he’s already improved his “people manners” and is learning to curb his enthusiasm.

  Rarely barks, shows no food aggression, and walks well on leash. He gets along fine with his foster home’s dogs across a kennel fence, but will need slow, supervised intros to new doggy friends—and roughhousing should be off the table for now.
