Meet Takito – Adopted
Takito is a charming 7-year-old female who came to rescue after she was surrendered to a Bay Area animal shelter when her elderly owner could no longer care for her.
She is a self-confident, happy girl who has adapted quickly to this major life change. She has learned to use a dog door while in her foster home and had evidently been potty trained in her previous home. Her major medical issue when she came into rescue was bilateral cherry eyes which covered over half of the surface of her eyes. Her vision was significantly impacted. This has now been corrected and, as her picture demonstrates, she is now enjoying this new ability to see her surroundings. She has been spayed and had a surgical correction of her elongated soft palate and is also microchipped and current on all vaccines.
She has interacted with other dogs in her foster home and could be placed with a well-socialized neutered male. Kids 10 and older could be considered.
A fenced yard is required since she enjoys some outside time and especially enjoys sunbathing on sunny days. She would enjoy short walks but is also happy to take a nap instead. No cats.
